The Challenge
In a shipping operation a single order spawns quotes, orders, and shipment documents — but staff had no way to jump between related records, so answering "where is this order now?" meant digging through disconnected lists.
In shipping, one order turns into a chain of documents — quote, order, shipment, and everything in between. When those records are not linked, tracing a single order across its lifecycle means opening list after list and matching things up by eye. It is slow, and it is exactly where mistakes hide.
What we built
We built an end-to-end record-traceability system inside Business Central that links related documents across the order-to-shipment lifecycle, so any record is one click away from every other record it touches.
