Customers wanted their invoices and order confirmations on WhatsApp, not buried in email — but staff were manually downloading PDFs from Business Central and forwarding them by hand, one document at a time.
In many markets WhatsApp is where customers actually read their messages — email invoices go unopened for days. This client's team was bridging that gap by hand: export the invoice PDF from Business Central, save it, open WhatsApp, find the customer, attach, send. Every document, every time.
What we built
We built a native WhatsApp integration inside Business Central. Invoices, order confirmations, and PDF attachments now go out over WhatsApp directly from the ERP — automatically, with delivery tracking so staff can see what reached the customer.
How it works
- AL extensions trigger sends straight from Business Central documents
- Azure Functions call the WhatsApp API to deliver invoices and PDFs
- Order confirmations and attachments sent without leaving the ERP
- Delivery tracking so the team knows what was received
Meet customers where they already are. Sending an invoice should be one click inside the ERP, not a five-step manual chore.
