Sales worked in a CRM while finance worked in Business Central, and the two never agreed — customers, quotes, and orders were re-keyed by hand, so the numbers drifted apart and no one trusted either system.
When sales lives in a CRM and finance lives in the ERP, the gap between them is where deals and data go to die. Every customer, quote, and order gets entered twice, the two systems slowly disagree, and teams waste hours reconciling records that should have matched in the first place.
What we built
We built a two-way integration between Dynamics 365 Business Central and the client's external CRM. Customers, contacts, quotes, and orders now flow automatically in both directions, so a change on either side shows up on the other in real time.
How it works
- AL extensions in Business Central expose and consume the right records via REST APIs
- Two-way sync of customers, contacts, quotes, and orders — no manual re-keying
- Real-time updates so sales and finance always see the same numbers
- Field mapping and conflict handling to keep both systems consistent
The goal was one version of the truth. When sales and finance stop arguing about whose number is right, everything downstream gets faster.
